iFLT (International Forum on Language Teaching) is a grassroots group inspired by Dr. Stephen Krashen, creator of the Comprehension (Input) Hypothesis and numerous other theories that have helped to shape contemporary views on language acquisition.
iFLT is dedicated to helping teachers align their instructional approach(es) with the principles of SLA (second language acquisition). If you are interested in teaching for proficiency using CI-based strategies, the iFLT Conference is a must-attend event!
1) Observe SLA-informed strategies in action as you observe live language classes with real students, grades 3 – 12.
2) Learn strategies and train with the nation’s top SLA-focused teachers.
3) Practice strategies in an intimate and personalized format with experienced coaches who are highly trained in CI-based strategies.
Whether you are an experienced SLA-focused teacher or you are new to CI-based instruction, iFLT offers training specifically designed to meet your unique needs. Choose from four conference tracks,

“The coaching team is so important for any conference. We support the foundation that the presenters are building. We calm the frayed nerves. We allow participants to process at their own paces. We help them answer the question: “How do I . . . ?” We are the glue that helps them bind great strategies to personal application. It is a privilege to work with some many talented and experienced coaches.” ~ Teri Wiechart, Coaching Coordinator
Denver Colorado is an event mecca and a great place for the 2017 iFLT Conference. We have secured some fabulous hotels at amazing rates, as much as $100 off the standard summertime prices. Because Denver is extremely busy in the summer, hotels were reluctant to give up too many rooms. We highly recommend you book your hotel early!
There is a wide range of excellent restaurants in the area. We are compiling a list of excellent eats, so stay tuned. If you know of a great restaurant that should be added to the list, let us know!
